Please Take Notice that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and per the Governor’s Executive Orders, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Owasco, New York will not be meeting in person on Monday, April 27, 2020.   The meeting and associated public hearings will be held electronically via ZOOM videoconference, and a recording will be posted to the Town’s website at a later date.  Members of the public may view and listen to the meeting and the public hearings live and offer comments on the application via audio or video conference at the following link or number:

Written public comments must arrive via e-mail to planning@owascony.gov  by 3:00 p.m. on April 27, 2020 to allow the comment to be read aloud by a Board Member during the public hearing and recorded into the minutes.

The Zoning Board of Appeals will hear the following requests:

Jacqueline Scanlon, Smiley’s Town and Country, LLC 7368 Owasco Road, Auburn NY 13021, tax map# 116.18-2-31 is requesting a Special Use Permit to change the Gift Shop use on part of the property to a Nail Salon and Beauty Bar use, under Section 150-44 of the Code of the Town of Owasco.

Richard Siezenga, 4217 Wiggins Road Auburn, NY 130221, tax map# 146.01-1-25.3 is requesting an 18 foot rear yard area variance (from required 40 foot setback) to construct a rear home addition, under Section 150 Attachment 1 of the table of dimensional requirements of the Code of the Town of Owasco.
